Smart Translation Factory
A team from ProLinguo Translation Services was at stand H03 in Hall 16 for hannoverimpuls at the Hannover Messe 2019 to demonstrate how the translation business is becoming automated. The fair’s motto: “Industrial intelligence – Digital networking between humans and machines in the age of artificial intelligence” was part of the “Smart Translation Factory” theme. ProLinguo presented approaches which interconnect artificial intelligence, machine learning and machine translation for an optimised Linguistic Supply Chain 4.0, which meet the demands of the networked, digitalised industry of the next generation.
ProLinguo answered questions such as how translations can be carried out more quickly in the age of the Internet of Things and the rising demand for digital content without compromising quality. What should a resilient database look like – with data protection taken into consideration? What challenges does the surge in digital content bring for translators? ProLinguo showed visitors examples of successful collaboration between humans and machine, talked about the current status of machine translation, and helped them analyse how translations in their company could be automated.
